Thankyou for your purchase!
We’re so excited for you to enjoy your new Memory Mat.
Your Memory Mat has been designed to bring comfort, softness, and practicality into everyday family living. To help you get the best experience from your Memory Mat, please follow these simple setup and care instructions.
Inflation & Crease Removal
Your Memory Mat has been vacuum packed for shipping to protect it during transit.
When first unpacked, your rug may look much thinner than expected — this is completely normal. It can be surprising to see how compact it is, but please don’t worry; the memory foam is designed to gradually expand back to its intended thickness.
Simply lay your Memory Mat flat and allow it to naturally inflate. Depending on the surrounding temperature and humidity, this process may take anywhere from 1–14 days.
For best results:
-
Allow your Memory Mat time to fully expand before placing heavy furniture on it.
-
Avoid folding or rolling the rug while it is inflating.
If any stubborn creases remain after the mat has fully expanded, they can be gently removed using an iron on a low-heat, maximum steam setting. Always follow your iron manufacturer's safety and operating instructions, and avoid holding the iron in one place for an extended period.
Placement & Floor Safety
-
Always place your rug on a clean, dry surface.
-
Some floor finishes (such as polished, oiled, or sealed floors) may be more slippery than others. Always test the rug's placement before use and ensure it is stable.
-
You may place furniture on the rug to help anchor it and reduce movement. Please note that heavy furniture may leave temporary or permanent indentations in the memory foam.
Polished Concrete & Acrylic Floor Finishes
We do not recommend placing your Memory Mat rug directly onto polished concrete or floors with acrylic-based finishes, as the backing may react with or damage certain sealants.
If using the rug on these surfaces, we recommend placing a suitable rug gripper underneath the Memory Mat. Always follow the rug gripper manufacturer's instructions and ensure it is compatible with your specific flooring.
Concrete Floors
Concrete floors can naturally retain and release moisture. If your rug is placed on concrete, lift it every few weeks to allow both the rug and the floor underneath to air out. This helps reduce the risk of trapped moisture.
Cleaning & Care
For best results, treat spills and stains as soon as possible.
-
Gently remove any solid matter using a spoon or similar utensil.
-
Spot clean using warm water and a clean cloth or paper towel.
-
Blot the affected area gently — do not scrub, as this may damage the fabric.
-
Repeat as necessary until the stain has been removed.
-
Allow the rug to air dry completely before using it again.
Please do not:
-
Soak, submerge, or hose down the rug.
-
Machine wash or tumble dry.
-
Use bleach, harsh chemicals, or abrasive cleaning products.
Intended Use

Memory Foam Characteristics
Memory foam naturally changes over time. The following are normal characteristics and are not considered manufacturing defects:
-
The foam will gradually soften and compress with regular use.
-
Temporary indentations may appear where people sit or where furniture is placed.
-
The firmness of the foam may vary depending on room temperature.
These are normal characteristics of memory foam and are part of how your rug provides its soft, comfortable feel.
Storage
If you need to store your Memory Mat:
-
Store flat whenever possible, or gently roll the rug for storage.
-
Keep in a cool, dry location.
-
Avoid storing in damp or humid environments.
Thank you again for choosing Memory Mats. We hope your new rug becomes a favourite part of your home for many memories to come.
